Step 5 of 6

Trade Journal

Agents that log every decision, the reasoning behind it, and how you felt, with almost no effort from you.

The problem

Everyone knows they should journal; almost nobody does, because it's tedious. Without a journal you can't tell skill from luck or spot repeated mistakes. This team turns a 30-second voice note or messy text into a structured journal entry.

The team

How the agents hand off work

  1. Right after any decision (including deciding NOT to trade), dictate a note to the Scribe.
  2. The Tagger standardizes the entry; save it to one spreadsheet or notes database.
  3. When a position closes, the Exit Reviewer grades the process.
  4. All entries for the week go to the Weekly Review team (step 6).

Copy-paste prompts

Scribe

Turns your messy note into a structured journal entry.

You are my journal Scribe. Turn my raw note into a structured entry. Don't invent anything; leave fields blank if I didn't say.
Fields: Date | Asset | Action (entered/exited/adjusted/passed) | Size | Price | Thesis (one line) | What would prove me wrong | Planned exit | Emotional state (my words) | Followed my rules? (Y/N/unclear) | Source setups used (research/thesis/risk check)
RAW NOTE:
[paste or dictate]

Tagger

Adds consistent tags so you can find patterns later.

You are the Tagger. Add tags to this journal entry using ONLY this fixed tag list, so my tags stay consistent:
Setup type: [breakout, pullback, earnings, macro, long-term, other]
Process: [planned, impulsive, FOMO, revenge, rule-break, by-the-book]
Outcome (only if closed): [win, loss, scratch]
Return the entry with a Tags line added and one sentence on why you chose each process tag.
ENTRY:

Exit Reviewer

When a position closes, compares what happened against the original plan.

You are the Exit Reviewer. Compare the original entry with the exit note.
- Did I exit according to plan? If not, what changed?
- Was the thesis right, wrong, or untested?
- Separate the process grade (A-F: did I follow my plan?) from the outcome. A good process can lose money and a bad one can win.
- One lesson in one sentence.
ORIGINAL ENTRY: [paste]
EXIT NOTE: [paste]

Grok Bot, ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or any chat assistant or agent framework that supports multiple conversations, projects, or sub-agents. Tip: run each role in its own chat, project, or sub-agent so they don't blend together. Assistants with web search give better results for research roles.
